I definitely remember my parents coming home with a bag full of deeply discounted 2600 games for me, but it wasn’t much later that we got a Commodore 64 and it blew the Atari out of the water with it’s graphics. Not to mention the arcades never went away.

Yeah, I always get annoyed when I hear people talk about the “Worldwide Video Game Crash.” It wasn’t nearly as widespread as people think, even here in the US there were plenty of people like myself playing games on our Commodore 64s or going to the arcades.

Reminds me of Shadowrun, which was an 80s vision of 2050.

For what it’s worth, I’m pretty sure most Catholics don’t believe in the Rapture either. It’s predominantly an American Baptist thing. It’s just caught on through the media.

Bram Stoker and Arthur Conan Doyle. Though that’s just their characters adapted and used over and over again.

I don’t disagree, 80s is where it’s at, but I do have some serious nostalgia for Galaxy Express 999 and and Gatchaman.

For years I was team Cool Ranch, but a few months ago I bought a bag of Nacho Cheese on a whim and I forgot how good they are, so lately I’ve been getting a bag of each (all hail BOGO sales) and frankly I devour the Nacho Cheese first.

Sure, but personally all my favorite anime is from the 1970s and 80s, hence why I said I must really be old now.

The horror streaming site Shudder has something called Shudder TV which tries to emulate that old “What the hell is this I just changed the channel to?” vibe from the cable TV days. It’s just a constant live stream of movies that Shudder has the license to, with different streams based on different themes, ie horror

Wow, that got dark fast.

Full Metal Panic is considered “old school?!” Jesus I’m old.

I liked Europa Report, but it’s not really a horror movie. It’s a pretty straight forward science fictional disaster movie.

Konami adds features to it’s Castlevania collection the same day Bloodstained comes out. Hmmmmmmm...
