There’s a horror streaming service called Shudder that has The Stuff. It used to be on Netflix a long time ago. That was where I first saw it. Way better than it has any right to be.

We Are Still Here is great. It’s an homage to Fulci’s Gates of Hell trilogy, tons of references and easter eggs.

Such a great movie. I was lucky enough to see it in the theater at a film festival early this year and I loved it. Very much influenced by Hellraiser with even a bit of Resident Evil. And yes, the final shot is a spot on homage to the closing shot of The Beyond.

It’s nothing like Resident Evil 4, it’s basically a Clock Tower spiritual sequel.

I spent so much time just driving around in Deadly Premonition because I couldn’t get enough of Agent Morgan extolling the virtues of punk rock and horror movies. Truly a man after my own heart.

Yeah, if we are talking about movies ABOUT video games, eXistenZ is better than every film on that list, except for Scott Pilgrim, which I adore. Also recommended, Avalon directed by Ghost in the Shell’s Mamoru Oshii, it really drags in some parts but it’s otherwise a pretty great movie about a society completely…

I haven’t seen Death Note (though I have a passing familiarity with it) but I freaking LOVE Adam Wingard. And yes he has amazing soundtrack choices. The Guest has one of the best soundtracks of the last decade.
