Agreed, not to mention that arcade games in the 90s looked far, far, better than that, with brighter colors, larger sprites and smoother edges.

I’m surprised that there is no mention of how this game is a spin-off of the MMO The Secret World. The theme park in the second area of the game is the same park in this game.

My advice is to play Control normally, then when the heavy spawns, grab some ammo and camp B if you can. You will be defending the point and helping the team and getting sword kills at the same time. I got a 10 kill streak with sword doing that on the Memento map the other day, winning us the game and getting the Best

Yes, the Three of Coins was patched a while back. I got 3 exotic drops the first week using it. I wasn’t using the exploit, I would just pop one before a boss fight while playing through the story. Since the nerf I have had zero exotic drops.

The best thing to do is to get the collected editions. Each volume is essentially a single story arc that’s largely self contained, though some volumes are smaller one-shot stories in between the bigger arcs. I would recommend starting with Vol 2 A Doll’s House and if you like it, go back to Vol 1 and start from the

I am curious as to what you will think of We Are Still Here. It’s an homage to Lucio Fulci’s Gates of Hell trilogy so it’s not quite to everyone’s taste, but I loved it.

Exorcist 3 is so underrated. Terrific film.

Good list, but...seriously Patrick, you’ve never seen Jacob’s Ladder? That movie is a classic! And it’s such a huge influence on Silent Hill that I would have figured it was required viewing for a Kotaku writer. Enjoy.

... since they are using all the mech designs from MWO.

Aw damn, I had a copy of Fireball Island when I was a kid, I LOVED that game. Used to play it all the time.

There is no rare blue Stranger’s Rifle anymore, they are all legendary now.

Nice callback

It’s not nearly as graphic as you make it out to be. Lots of fake-looking CG. Maybe I’ve just watched too many horror movies.

Yeah that was hilarious, but then I watch a LOT of horror movies so maybe I am a bit desensitized.

This, all I could think after reading that was how much I want to punch that lady right in her fucking mouth.

But that’s nothing compared to the villain, who has no movable facial features—always compelling, bad guys who can’t move their faces!

Exactly what I was thinking, The Incredibles is the best Fantastic Four movie you could ask for.

Sounds like most of the places I have worked.

I’ve been playing a LOT of Dragon Strikes lately in a fruitless attempt at getting a Hopscotch Pilgrim and I have to say sometimes you can’t help leaving a strike at the beginning. Frequently the game glitches and goes straight to the loading screen for the next strike and doesn’t let you back out normally. If I am

My favorite game of all time.
