I know they don’t, but name calling is not what we need here...although I admittedly have no idea what an “embicile” is? <sarcasm>
Why limit yourself to one day a year for enjoyable lies?
So, I’m just a regular guy making regular money with regular debt. I’m probably paying for a wedding in the next 18 months, and When I buy a home? I’m getting a Tesla. I don’t care which one, used or not... I just want to invest in an electric car future. I love v-8's, I love Turbo flat fours.... I secretly want an…
Yep at 5¢ per kWh offpeak I’ll fill my Tesla for about 4 dollars. Pretty cheap.
Internal combustion range is exactly as variable. My 23 mpg city Focus ST gets 18 mpg in my part of the city. We have hills and a lot of stop signs.
What you are saying is that we need a new, more realistic fuel economy standard for all cars than we have now. Current internal combustion range estimates, are also…
Driving down the pass home will be collecting some of that energy back. Obviously most of you have never driven or even ridden in a modern electric propelled auto.
I predicted at least a 300 mile range...after all, it has been a couple or three years in development and look where the S sedan went range-wise.
You mean during the Gilded Age? Yea, that was awesome. Jesus Christ. Please learn something about economics and history and political policy.
It’ll have a special air purifier that allows us to smell our own farts, but not other pollutants. Thankssssssss.
Becuase all energy comes from coal fired power? No. The best part about electric cars is if you upgrade electric infrastructure to be more efficient you automatically get more efficient cars. Try doing that with ICE. Small scale Nuclear is coming and it will change the entire planet once the boomers all die and take…
That’s a good looking ceramic model.
Then all cars would have to say “30 MPG or 400 horsepower/0-60 in 4 seconds” because if you’re consistently redlining/flooring it to get the 400 horsepower you’re definitely not getting 30 MPG.
Govt subsidies are beneficial as the total cost/beneift of the product is being considered and then quantified. That $7500 will be well spent when the air quality in cities starts to improve.
I should also add I’m a millennium (as my GFs boss calls it, not millennial) at the ripe age of 24. College pays if you know what you’re doing.
If you scroll down in the link, there is also what appears to be roughly a 1/18th ceramic model of the body. The model matches what’s under the sheet, at least.
Ever heard of the EPA method?
Either way, I'm betting the model 3 will replace the Subaru Crosstrek as the Seattle vehicle of choice.
