I think adoration of concepts showcasing what the future may one day bring is pretty widespread my dude, even if most people don’t realize most concepts are just showpieces. At least it seems that way to me.

Ultimately it comes down to what you’re viewing images on. On a 6" phone screen there’s not a lot of difference between a high-end camera and a smartphone picture.

That’s really how that reads. I can’t tell if the argument is that what makes supercars special is that the people who want them can’t afford them, or if it’s a complaint about performance specifically being democratized. I fail to see how supercars falling from the realm of the uberwealthy down to Earth is a net

I honestly don’t think it fits. He’s flamboyant in the sense that he’s outspoken and parties a ton, but his actual sense of style is closer to a panther than a peacock. I think the point was to have something that was cool, but effortlessly so. That and, as was pointed out, it’s implied he has a large fleet of

I swear that it was explicitly called a character study by Phoenix and Phillips more than once. So yeah, I’m not sure why people were expecting otherwise.

I’ve seen a lot of posts with girls calling it ahegao face in the caption, it wasn’t exactly a secret. There are plenty of clothing items on sale labeled that way too. If people are calling it e-girl face that’s new to me.

Why should you *not* be fireable for your behavior? People get fired for conduct literally all the time, so to be clear are you talking about carving out an exclusion for racist language or something? And why on earth would it be your boss’s job isn’t to teach you, an adult, why racism isn’t favorable?

They’re basically saying 1 - reducing emissions standards increases air quality and 2 - by California refusing to reduce emissions standards, they’re making their air quality worse. It’s completely illogical and objectively wrong, but it’s at least consistent I guess... Doesn’t change the fact that it’s nonsensical.

How much of that is due to the Model 3 cannibalizing those sales?

I don’t know that a dedicated race car is, even in your deliberate stretch, comparable to what is *claimed* to be a prototype for a production car. That’s a new one.

The Model S isn’t exactly as old as it may seem, they’re taking a Ship of Theseus approach. What I mean is, they’ve been continually upgrading various components just about every year. It’s just that the visuals, what we most commonly associate with newness, haven’t changed. Well, that and they haven’t really

You make the mistake of thinking most Americans are interested in what’s going on in the rest of the world. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case much to our detriment. Not unless some new political fight pops up that causes “insert country x” to be relevant to the news cycle for a little while, probably

Then don’t click on the articles about them.

That’s an excellent suggestion, a simple change that could prove to be potent given time.

I wonder about the sort of person who sits around freaking out about hypothetical gunfights they could *possibly* get into one day. It makes sense for people who live in areas ravaged by the war on drugs & gang violence. But for everyone else, it doesn’t really make that much sense to me. But yes, the solution always

The extremely wealthy people that already aren’t paying as much as they should in taxes, if they are at all? We’ll be fine. Losing most of the residents of Alabama, Mississippi, and West Virginia would offset whatever losses there may be. And we’d have more space to do some interesting stuff, win win.

I can’t make a comment on your emotional state or lack thereof. If you’re asking about the political & real world impact of lack of empathy and selfishness on a large scale, that’s a very different question. Anywho, I got my answer I guess. Have a good one.

I’m saying that it blows my mind to think about it that way. Sad thing is it fits.

I would imagine that conversation about price really depends on what specific cars you’re comparing. If you’re someone who is weighing a C Class, 3 Series, or Model 3 against each other, the prices are pretty similar. If you’re looking at a Bolt compared to a Honda Civic, that’s a different story.

I’m not going to lie to you and claim that I even slightly understand how you came to those conclusions or that I get your perspective, but I can respect that you’ve thought out your views. I agree there is no objective “purpose” to life, and there never will be. But I see that as it being up to us what we wish to
