Yeah, you’re right about the wealthy wanting all the money. But, I see that as a bit of a seperate issue than the fact that social gravity is working in one direction. All I’m saying is that’s the reality of what is happening.

What we so often miss, for whatever reason, is that you need the goddamn science to get to all those products we enjoy and you very rarely know what products will come of new discoveries ahead of time. I have no idea why so many people seem to think you can just have step 3 without 1 & 2, and it’s the most

By 2050 about 70% of mankind is expected to live within cities. Right now, we’re already over 50%. Cities are only going to continue to grow, and that means we have to have an honest look at ways to make them cleaner/more efficient. Private transport is conveneint as hell, but it causes more pollution than public

Saying that everyone who has seen the car in person found it to be beautiful is one heck of a stretch. Many did change their mind in person though.

I didn’t realize gymnastics careers were quite that short. Interesting.

I’m pretty sure their position is that more research and regulation is required and they’re dangerous as they are. I mean... that’s kinda what a committee is for.

I don’t know how practical that idea is, unless the arguemnt is that Presidential committees -that seem to have no official role in government- should have the legal power access the R&D and all the data of companies in whatever industry they’re meeting about. Good luck with that one. If this was a body responsible

If your words and actions earn you that label, then yes someone is one. You don’t get to decide how your words and actions affect other people after the fact my dude. Trump is a racist whether or not you personally agree with that.

They didn’t say “trump caused sliding sales in China”, they said his trade war was exacerbating the issue. And I mean, it is.

I think you could replace “rich with “most” and it’d be an even more accurate statement.

You say that like we don’t swear in music, youtube videos, movies, or tv shows all the time. But, I fully admit that swear words rarely bother me so I probably see this differently than you.

Attack the argument my dude, that’s where you can make whatever your point is. If I were to attack you for being some complete rando on the internet that doesn’t say anything about your actual argument, for example.

You’re literally the only person I’ve ever seen use the word cityslicker in real life, that caught me off guard. And I live in a pretty rural area. But, that aside, that’s just an issue of charging infrastructure. It’s not that difficult to solve, even if you live in the boonies.

I really want to know how often you guys are in a situation that you need to travel 300 - 400 miles ASAP. It seems to me that for daily commuting being able to charge to at least half in 10-15 minutes should be fine, assuming you can’t charge at home, unless you’re in the minority of extreme commuters.

I highly doubt they actually believe that. That sounds more like an argument built around the “personal responsibility” mantra so many Republicans pretend to believe in, especially if it comes in the form of screwing over the poor.

The relatively easy fix would be to mandate that automakers have to provide software security updates for x amount of years for any cars they sell. That, and their software has to maintain a certain level of protection in the most concerning areas. I don’t see that happening for IOT in general, but for cars

I honestly don’t think that’s the right thing to be worried about. Cloning a key fob and physically stealing a car is ridiculously easy, and I am pretty sure that’ll remain a much more likely thing for you as an individual than anything else. Much in the same way that being robbed for your devices is much more likely

You know, I misunderstood what you were getting at and I’m not sure why.

That’s exactly the problem though. Just being “good” isn’t going to beat Mercedes, Audi, and BMW, who they’re trying to directly compete against. You have to either bring something different with its own unique desirability, or you have to beat the Germans at their own game. You can’t offer a product as good as the

Cool.
