I like that idea a lot, I wonder if we’ve looked into that approach?

Both Q3 and Q4 last year were profitable for them. I don’t think that’s a correct statement.
That’s exactly why this doesn’t make sense to me. It’s not like cars have limitless speed now and they’re introducing a novel idea, they’re just lowering the ceiling a bit. This is arguing over a line in the sand which happens to exist above the legal line of how fast you’re even allowed to drive in the first place in…
I mean, I get that idea but in reality you can’t legally drive above 85-90 mph in the vast majority of the world anyway so what practical difference does it make if your car is unable to? You’re arguing you won’t have access to a form of freedom that’s already illegal and has been for decades.
As I understand it, your car has had that ability for a long time now. It’s not a new idea in that sense.
5-10 years. Within that time frame we should see the cost of producing an EV fall to the point that it’s on par with ICE.
At least if you take Tesla’s stated mission from day one to be true, so long as the world transitions to EVs that’ll be a victory. They’ve been saying for a long time they couldn’t usher in that change alone, and half of their strategy was applying pressure to existing automakers and getting them to compete with them.…
Probably for the same reasons that you don’t really see many other start-ups pushing anything gas powered. They’re building a company with an eye on the expected change in the industry.
Same basic reason the sedan is dying, people aren’t/weren’t buying them. The average person just can’t justify dropping 20-40K on a second or third car that’s only really a toy.
I would imagine that being able to effectively communicate would be pretty important for an engineer, chemist, or physicist, so having a decent mastery over language wouldn’t exactly be an afterthought.
He had a pretty bad time, and others have apparently had experiences that were much better. So maybe the most accurate statement is to say that Tesla, as they stand right now, is a mixed bag in that regard. Same deal with everything else around Tesla, but people tend to paint them in one extreme or the other.
While I don’t actively dislike Goku, I do think it’s weird he’s still so frequently compared to characters like Supes given how vastly different they are. Other than being really strong aliens, they have nothing in common. I’m not even sure why so many consider him to be a hero in the classic sense when that isn’t…
I’m not entirely sure about there being no stakes. A lot of people, including me, weren’t sure if Broly would survive that fight. It may not be that significant in comparison to the fate of entire universes, but it was a tension that was there right up until he was whisked away by Shenron. Still amazed Broly became…
Why not use that moment to teach them about what you personally find to be acceptable behavior? The world with all its flaws and positives catches up to all of us eventually without fail or consent, we get to choose what to do with that though. I grew up as one of those kids whose parents tried to shelter them from…
Use it as a moment to teach them then, the real world catches us all eventually. I wish my parents hadn’t tried to shelter me as much as they did.
The Kents did a pretty good job with that. Maybe we need to call them in for Donald.
Oh, let them have their fun even if you personally don’t enjoy it.
Well, now you have a valid reason to convince your SO to let you buy the next Tesla Roadster. So long as you don’t have to bring a huge amount of stuff with you, you should be fine.
Man, I haven’t seen a hate boner throb like that in a long time. But by all means, if you have a plan to get us to mass sustainable transport/energy and a plan to spread our species out to other planets don’t keep it to yourself. Run for something and put it into motion, publish it in an op-ed, or start some…
I think that for some people it’s because they are emotionally attached to the internal combustion engine.
