Look closer: they grabbed him first — repeatedly. He warned them to keep their hands off of him, and they persisted.

They got physical first by grabbing him. It’s pretty clear in the video.

You left something out: it shows them grabbing him and him reacting to being grabbed. They didn’t stop doing it, and it escalated.
