Exactly.
People riot in their own neighborhoods, which hurts the neighborhood. People in safe and rich communities remain distant and uninvolved.
The protesters should go out to Edina, Linden Hills, Highland Park, Mill District and similar to get a real response. I know some of those are outside Minneapolis proper,

A tweet isn’t living in an area.

The riots span a very large area and I’m about two blocks away from some of the less intense - but still scary riots - that happened. I have no idea what will happen tonight.

Today I walked a small section of Lake, between two major roads. Yes, there is the Target, CVS, Cub Foods, and

Do you know famous people, or are you famous yourself?

I feel compelled to write back because I honest to god feel what I wrote, based heavily on personal experiences.

For about 15 years I was in a career where I was adjacent to quasi (not even semi) famous people, like popular scientists, podcasters, and YA authors

I would agree with that. Basically, Roman’s worked her life in one industry she loves; another women leverages celebrity to co-write a book that makes her a “chef.” That does sort of suck.

Dude, out of 15 men and 15 women there were three couples that are still going over a year later. G and Damien got back together.

I have a lot of opinions on this article!

I thought the same thing. I haven’t been to that many weddings recently because many are doing the elopement - adjacent thing and only inviting the closest family members.  Tons of people do this.  I just didn’t know that when I was 10.

the median cost would be more representative.  A few very expensive weddings throw off the whole average.

Hot Take: Weddings are growing because as women gain power and money many choose to unapologetically do girly ass stuff with that money like wear awesome dresses and have a great party.

I think it was a complicated way to neg me - I’m too old to find any more happiness! - into staying with him. It was manipulative.

The idea that women can meet someone, while it’s hard for men ... is just so pervasive I don’t know where men get that from. I’ve had so many men tell me that.

Related or unrelated (you decide), one time I broke up with a dude and he sent me the Atlantic article.

exactly.  All my purses and shoes are leather, and they last for ages.
