There is a massive difference between what a wealthy private citizen can get away with and what the POTUS can get away with. If you have enough resources, you can plea down or settle out virtually anything. Which is what he’s done in the past.

I mean, it’s been clear since well before he was elected that he would not give a single shit about the law as President. Hell, he more or less said it himself a handful of times.

The fact that we’re even having this conversation less than 6 months into his presidency is shocking. The fact that people are putting their lives on the line leaking classified intel to the press is no small potatoes. Our allies are helping out, knives are being sharpened… This is happening.
