That’s some great information I was not aware of. So I know Deloreans will rust too but they were never like what is being reported based on my vague recall. They are 304. A lot more metallic brake pads back in their heyday as well...

Does the corrosion spread from the non-stainless dust/particles to the stainless panels themselves? Sorry if that’s a dumb question
Anybody who’s left a stainless knife or tool outside for a few days has been saying this from the start.
Well you can never escape the industrial fallout all over the roads, so I guess this was doomed from the drawing board?
Learned something new today. Thanks!
Its almost as if,... bare steel may have been a poor choice for an automobile finish?
K swap would be excellent for an updated Elise
C’mon man, get outta here with that decree that the kids WILL need therapy.
If they had actual jobs they would not have time for this Confederate cosplay. I know too many guys like this and this is how I explain it to people:
In closed environment like a factory it’s easier to skirt safety protections. I work for a mechanical contractor on large scale industrial projects and there are so many overlapping safety procedures that anything out of the norm would be noticed and addressed fairly quickly.
People call him a free speech absolutist, but he has never been one. His actions since taking over Twitter shows that he only cares about speech that he either agrees with or that paints him in a good light.
Musk removed safety lines and so on because he disliked the colours. And at SpaceX he is actively “discouraging” people from wearing safety clothes for the same reason. He also had workers disable safety measures on the machines so they could work faster. His factories are not places where safety is “drilled” into…
I work in environmental science and land reclamation. I manage a federally-protected wildlife sanctuary. I agree that this sucks for the off-road community.
Has he been? Geez...
Perez has always been a decent midfield driver who’s capable of taking wins. But a top tier driver capable of hanging with someone like Max he’s not — he just doesn’t have the mental fortitude nor the time to develop it. It’s pretty obvious that something broke (mentally) in Monaco and he’s suffering ever since.
It does, and some times it is contractual (see Schumacher at Ferrari) but Red Bull takes it to the extreme. Other teams have variations on gentlemen’s agreements based on who gets to Turn 1 first. It worked for Ferrari it is works for Red Bull, but it makes things a bit boring.
Even if Newey isn’t designing the car around what works best for Max, the team certainly prioritizes his wants and needs for the set up, design and implementation of updates, and so forth. They did the same for Vettel he he was their dude. Just ask Mark Webber and the long list of other drivers who paired up with him…
I mean, I’ve seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion and meh. 959 is better.
The key thing is that it’s the right rear.
Honestly, I’d probably go newer and smaller for the base car. Maybe the Yaris WRC or Polo R WRC
