Fair point! If this hadn't been the actual weekend of the 24 hours of Le Mans, I wouldn't have made the point, to be honest.

The by-line of this item reads:
Watching the 24 hours of Le Mans right now.
The test found that the astronaut’s response times dropped in space, but the researchers admitted that this could also have been because the participants were distracted by the majesty of the cosmos.
You’re being modest, as if you do not wish to weight-shame tungsten... Which is a nice gesture to tungsten, sure.
Look, sorry, but haven’t you seen the Hot Ones episode with John Oliver? He knocked it out of the proverbial park without (if I recall correctly) Not. Even. A. Sip. Of. Milk. Or. Water.
Yes,agreed. This is tooo blatant to stomach.
Oh Ye Gods!
Isn’t this just Sovereign Citizenship, but in another guise?
“Worst” might not be wholly suitable.
I care. Not because of whatever car I own (It’s not a Porsche, nor is it a Tesla) but because I want marketing stunts to be at least built on a foundation of truth.
What they measured was the effects of turbo lag.
Larger boats have larger keels and rudders. Those control surfaces have to withstand much higher loads than those on smaller vessels.
I’m not into that kind of boating, but if I were to be sailing a 50 footer in those waters, I’d bring along a box or two of of Piccolo firecrackers. (Those are fireworks with a match-stick type head and can be thrown into the water after being lit.)
I have my doubts about longevity though. It will be exposed to plenty of UV light and the salty sea air isn’t going to be too friendly either to the plastic. They will go dull over time.
While I like your line of thought, I have some serious doubts about the survivability of such a material in the particular environment of a cramped driveway.
This kind of respectful disobedience brings me a lot of joy. I have a tough time respecting illogical and inconsequential rules, so I’m glad to see that Constable and Panni came together to make a statement about their community’s frivolous rules through the power of art.
Nope, those are not going the way of the dodo! At least not completely.
Um, did you read the opening post I wrote or did you overlook that one? I make crystal clear that this is fully on the ATV rider and the cop (or cops?) did the right thing by blocking his path.
Ok, fair point. I only know ACAB literally as “all cops are bastards”, without any of the more subtle or implied context. The way you put it, well that works.
