No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, he went 65mph on a road bike with nothing but a helmet and some lycra shorts to keep him safe.
*Sigh* ... Another case of the Hydrogen Hype Train.
On that first point, the F1 Drivers Association would like to disagree. They’ve pushed at times for car and track safety too.
Ok, ok, fine. Whatever you want to call it.
Ok, fair point, but still it’s up to the drivers to ultimately decide what risk they are willing to take.
Well, some of those temporarily exempt items are of the welded closed cannot-easily-be-removed type, so there’s that too.
Fair points, I guess that in this case the status of “outclassed” depends largely on perception. Maybe I lend too much credit to the fact that someone completely new to a car is out-qualifying the driver who has been with the team for years, but to me that stands out as really significant.
The whole idea of Greatest Of All Times is useless anyway. At least for Formula 1.
Sorry, it’s not how I interpret the expression and, no, I didn’t use it with the intent to pre-empt anything.
It does suggest that Russel is considerably better at adjusting to / dealing with a difficult and unruly car, which makes sense considering the teams he was with before joining Mercedes.
Hamilton down on power? Not how I interpreted it. No DRS during the wet part of the race hurt him more than Russel, true, but I didn’t see reason to surmise a power deficit in relation to his new team mate.
The Red Bull Racing F1 record of 1.88 seconds (!!!) from the 2019 German Grand Prix in Hockenheim (equalled in 2021 in Hungary) will stand for a very very long time.
Agree on the Why Not Both? bit.
To further elaborate: back in ye olde days, cars depended much more on mechanical grip and much less on aerodynamic grip. Or rather, the aerodynamic downforce did not really require clean undisturbed air.
Not by any formal definition, no.
Yes, that bear has the complete ABC: Atomic, Biological and Chemical weapons.
I don’t think Putin is crazy. I do believe that he fell into a trap of his own making, by surrounding himself with men in power who will rather tell him what he wants to know than tell him the reality.
Please don’t call it THEFT. Theft implies more or less that the goods can be recovered/returned.
Dude, you piled it on waayyyyyy too heavily. Effective trolling requires some restraint, you know?
