The crash happened during the Dutch Hellendoorn rally in 2013.
They had the 964 RSR back in order for the next rally event little over one month (!!!) later, so, yes, relatively speaking, it did.
According to http://teamkleinjan.nl it was a stuck throttle. (Website in Dutch, bring your Google translate skills)
That Porsche crash was during the Dutch Hellendoorn rally in 2013. The Porsche 964 RSR from Team Kleinjan had the lead in the short rally event when a stuck throttle (!!!) caused that barrier-assisted launch into the water.
On the other hand... Arianaspace does NOT develop and build its own rockets. And since neither Ariana 5, Soyuz 2 nor Vega have a reusable first stage, prices compare unfavourable to SpaceX.
We’ll put this solidly in the Personal Opinion section because the few examples I’ve spotted in the wild were, to me, fugly!
Well played sir (or madam?), well played!
Doesn’t a large swath of ink make it difficult (or impossible) to have an MRI scan? The iron oxide pigments don’t exactly play nice with the extreme magnetic fields used in magnetic resonance imaging. Or is modern ink MRI compatible?
Speaking Pacenotes is fun! Once you grasp what the numbers mean you can clearly picture two or three bends/corners in advance in your mind, almost as if the land is translucent.
See how long they, in their little front-wheel-drive Ford Fiesta are completely and utterly sideways. Particularly the corner where Chris goes down to first gear.
Edited to add: I should have checked replies first!
Was? Still is! And the sound... oh, that V12 roar!
First generation biofuel is produced from food. Second gen biofuel is made from biomass which did not “compete” with food production.
Ethanol may be easier to produce, but it’s not easier to synthesize from hydrogen and CO2.
There is a big problem with fuel cells. They can’t deal with contaminants. A DMFC needs methanol and water, nothing else. Whatever else is in the fuel will build up in concentration upstream from the fuel cell because it can’t pass the membrane.
Here’s what’s been bugging me for a long time:
Frontier - Elite II (at least the Amiga version) did nothing but classical music. Well, no, OK, save two Frontier theme songs.
True, but when you’re home you can take the same precaution when you see a thunderstorm coming. Not fool proof, but still...
If thunderstorms, or rather, lightning strikes, are common, then unplugging power and the phone cord is the wise thing to do.
Whoah...
