That scene with the skyscraper frame was pretty bad, but considering how many super-powered people they feature in this crossover—both bad and good—overall it looks good so far (or at least I think so).

I know, right? I was very confused by the absence of the Canary Cry, and as “good” as Oliver is, I can’t see how he beat Killer Frost and the other three--apparently without much effort.
Just that Ed Westwick guy--don’t even know if I’m spelling that correctly--but I’m not sure if he qualifies as conventionally attractive. ::shrugs::
Right about the CGI ending, though. It was a mess. And Diana thinking she was such an awesome warrior that her fight with Ares would be over that quickly and easily seemed naive to the point of stupidity. Also, since when does Ares also have the Zeus-like ability to throw lightning at people?
I really wanted Justice League to be good. I read the bad review here on the AV Club and a couple of other more favorable reviews from other mainstream sources and decided I would see it anyway. This may sound strange, but your little “review” here is the most succinct and helpful one I’ve read thus far. Thanks for…
I hope you’re right about Tony’s vision meaning nothing, because Thor’s did.
I love that commercial he’s in with Mark Wahlberg--the ending is too perfect.
I’m disappointed—but not surprised—that the review of this movie is so bad, but I’ll probably still see it anyway, just not on the “fancy” screen.
^This. I am about done with Tony Stark. I realize that Iron Man was the beginning of the MCU as we know it, but this character has really begun to grate on my nerves. The only time I can tolerate him, really, is when he’s in his own movies. In Avengers he’s poking Banner and trying to get him to transform while…
Wow, was that green screen bad. There were a couple of moments where the green screen was just horrifically obvious: the Norway stuff and when Heimdall was climbing the rock face to steal the sword used to open the bifrost. It looked like one of those movie bits from the game Myst III: Exile.
Matt Damon played Loki. It took me a minute to recognize the person playing Fake Thor—it’s actually the brother of the actor playing “Real” Thor.
I was kind of bothered by the reveal that Hela is Thor’s big sister. I would have liked that to be a movie reveal.
I agree. But to be fair, Justice League is going to make DC a lot of money, whether it’s good or bad.
I assume you’re trying to make a point about Iris holding Barry accountable, but maybe phrase it differently? Because it sounds like what you’re asking for is yet another depiction of domestic violence in the media (and perpetrated by an “angry black woman” to boot).
When I click on stars to recommend comments, it looks like my recommendation is subtracting from the number next to the star, instead of increasing it. What’s up with that? Is anyone else having this problem?
It’s a shame this show has been so terrible. Crystal is the worst (and Maximus is just a hair behind her). For some reason, when the cops came to the barn looking for Lockjaw and Louise pretended to be that absurdly handsome guy’s new girlfriend, I thought, “Now there’s a pairing I’d like to see!” (Dave. I just looked…
A) Felicity has very weird taste in men. Asking a guy like Oliver to take his pants off? Understandable. Asking that snake-eye dude to do the same? Not so much.
Here’s the crazy thing: if your account is set to play the next episode in a series without your having to push any buttons, Beyond Stranger Things starts playing immediately after the last episode of Stranger Things 2 ends. It’s like—they are actively encouraging you to spend countless hours on this stuff. Don’t get…
I have no problem being corrected when I am uninformed, but those big bold letters seemed like overkill. Just sayin’.
Wow. Not sure what was so horrible about my comment that merited a response like that, fellow human being, but obviously you are very passionate about this subject. Sorry to have offended you.
