I think it was dialed down because Snart knew his sister was in danger, so he was more subdued than usual, not his usual snarky self. He actually said, "Sorry, Barry," after his father shot (at) Barry. That actually blew me away.

I believe you're right about the partnership between Tess and Harrison accelerating the opening of STAR Labs, but I think STAR Labs was only opened in 1991. The particle accelerator would have been built and activated later—perhaps earlier than the one in Earth-1, but still later than 1991. Also, Jay mentions that the

I kept waiting for a scene showing Iris with her mom and felt real disappointment when none appeared. IMO, they dropped the ball on that one. People, I think, complain about Iris not being developed enough, but we had a golden opportunity to see some of that character development here, and again, it was passed over.

Meh.

Never mind. It's my fault. I should never have engaged with you in the first place. I can promise you that it will never happen again. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion as I am to mine.

I don't think your answer is rude; maybe a bit defensive and over the top, given that my reaction—seeing the name "Vanessa Williams" and expecting the only actress I know by that name—was perfectly normal. Once I didn't see her, I realized that there is another actress with the same name. It's not something that I

Wow, what a rude reply. What difference does it make what my bedtime is? It seems that must be closer to your bedtime, since you felt the need to resort to name-calling. I'm so glad you have 0% input as to how The Flash is written and run.

Do y'know, I was actually expecting the actress/singer with the gray eyes to turn up? Isn't there some SAG rule that you have to somehow tweak your name if someone else is already on the books with the same name? I think that's why the actor who plays "Shawn Spencer" on Psych had to go with James Roday instead of his

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, I'm sure, but Professor Stein is headed off to another show, where he and another actor will be Firestorm there. I'm sure he'll show up on The Flash from time to time, but that's the main reason the writers are taking him out of the equation here.

The whole reason Thawne stole Wells' identity in Earth-1 is because he got stuck in his past as a result of his rivalry with Barry Allen as the Flash. Barry Allen isn't the Flash in Earth-2; Jay Garrick is, so there wouldn't be a rivalry between Thawne and a speedster in Earth-2. Or at least I don't think there would

Arrow is dark, and so is Daredevil, I hear. Maybe watch those shows. Leave The Flash for the rest of us who don't need or want tragedy, grit, somber tones and uber violence week after week after week, but still like superheroes.

I don't think he can be a regular here, when he's supposed to be a regular on Legends of Tomorrow, can he?

Interesting theory! I like it!

Upvoted for referring to Grant Gustin's musical talents :)

I like her well enough, but I agree with another comment that she might be too perfect, at least so far. And they really need to slow down any romantic aspects of her relationship with Barry; there's no call for rushing it. (They tried rushing it with Linda Park last season—with her demanding Barry's undivided

Upvoted for making me laugh (even though I've never seen Quantico—and don't plan on watching).

I half expected Barry to accidentally hit Jay with the lightning, and that would kick start Jay's powers.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, except for the fact that they do have to wait for a mid-season renewal, I believe. They shoot 13 episodes to start and then they have to wait for the go ahead to shoot more.

I come from a background where I read comic books when I was younger (because my older brother collected them), but haven't looked at one in quite a while. I do read a Wikipedia entry here and there, just to understand the character dynamics a bit better, but I think you will find a balance of different people

In part, the cheese (read: lighter tone) is why I watch this show and dislike Arrow and why I enjoy Marvel movies more than the latest DC movies. It's more fun. If The Flash becomes darker and grittier like Arrow, I will be gone—in a flash.
