Nice girls made me really nervous, claustrophobic. But broken women, women in pain, women looking to be fixed—ah, for these women the doctor was in.

I could listen to her talk all day long.

I kinda think that Patrick gets away with it because he's white and cute and a dude, really. I've seen some gay dude friends get away with some completely outrageous stuff.

Lots of the allegations of affairs from previous presidents, especially JFK, were with staff members or women who worked at the White House in one capacity or another.

Yeah, but by many accounts, so did JFK. Some of the alleged affairs were with staff, as were other presidential dalliances through the ages. Clinton made the mistake of doing in the the era where sexual harassment was actually illegal.

No, I think she actually posed for that one. That's why I was wondering. I went to look it up.

Hopefully this ensures he will never get the job painting the "official" portrait of anyone else.

Are you talking about that shadow on the left? That's pretty damn shitty if that's what it's supposed to represent.

WTF. Really? Just paint the damn picture and keep your political commentary out of it. Jesus. Can we repaint the official portrait of Reagan to make commentary on how his AIDS policies killed thousands of people?

or all the goddamn money his company made off of those wars. Fucking Halliburton.

WTF. So if we just don't keep track of them, rapes will no longer exist, then? Well, problem solved. That fucker.

It's fascinating to date across class - but even more strange when you cross class lines visiting your own family. My father is decidedly upper class, I fit squarely in the middle with some trouble keeping things up, and my mom (who my dad divorced over 20 years ago) is definitely living below the poverty line. I used

As a member of the LGBT tribe, I'm willing to call selfies gay if it deters Kid Rock from taking them.

I am the Patrick character, especially from this episode. Looking back at my 20-something behavior, I was definitely the Patrick of my group of friends, and I'm grateful that none of my friends have pointed it out, because I deserve it for how I acted at the time. The cringing I did at at Patrick's assholishness

I might have been high on cold medicine at the time, but - weren't there two Legolas guys at the party? I had the impression that the Legolas that Patrick was introduced to (who he thought was Link) was different than the one he came back to talk to and try to kiss later in the episode. Like he was being so clueless

I really hope that it doesn't take being trans to get trans issues right, or we're going to be marginalized forever. I know plenty of cis people who do get it right, so I strongly feel it's not too much to ask that people who are advocating for an issue do the work to understand what they're doing.

I thought so. :)

I'm not a fan because of his not-terribly-thoughtful discussion of trans issues around Dallas Buyer's Club. He was pretty ignorant of some serious trans issues and he made light of trans experiences.

You made those last two, up, right?

Really? That's surprising. I have a friend who trains service dogs and they are very strict about teaching the dog when they are "on duty" and when they are off and the dogs know and behave accordingly. I'm surprised the people who have service dogs would let them subvert the training. That's got to be super confusing
