I have a young cousin with DS, now in his teens. He’s almost completely nonverbal (the only thing I’ve ever heard him say is “No!”), and his parents long ago gave up on toilet training.
I think Sirius Black (and in particular his relationship with his family) is modeled on Decca.
That’s one reason I prefer Miller in the role.
He looks like an elf. And not in a good way.

Spinneys.
You mean the detective guy?

Depends what you mean by “running a red light.” I regularly see cars turning left after the left turn arrow has turned red. Not just one car at a time, either, but four or five cars in a row! When I was commuting, I saw that kind of thing every day.

Another counterpoint: now that my daughter rides her bike to school, I don’t have to schlep back and forth twice a day!
My daughter put an embargo on pictures and cute anecdotes when she was 8. Seemed reasonable to me.
My daughter demanded veto power over what I post about her online (anecdotes as well as pix) a couple of years ago, when she was eight. I complied. Sometimes it’s hard to resist reporting funny things she says, but she has the right to determine her own level of online privacy.
Which is another reason that it’s probably relevant that the victim is a member of the Cree Nation.
The victim in this case is a member of the Cree Nation.
I have an anecdote, but first, just to be clear: I see this thing happen to women all the time and completely support the strategy described in the article. I also think it has limitations, and that any group that has enough women to implement the strategy is going to have enough women for there to be significant…
