God it makes me insane when I hear the "white people have dominated throughout recorded history" trope as a sign of our (Super-WASP, here) supposed superiority. Really all it means is that collectively, we have frequently been willing to do the worst things. Vonnegut said it best"1492. As children we were taught to

My doorman will still side eye me if I buy any of this stuff, though.

In my house it's exactly like that but I tell LoniManderson that true love is just 300 bottles of Vodka away. He keeps rambling on about how if that's true then I must have reached some ecstatic, joyous higher plane of Nirvana-like love, but I don't really understand ever what he is talking about because I'm usually

Dude, she started this 15 months ago and she's only on sandwich #176. Something about this sounds fishy. She's almost exactly on the "Three sandwiches a week, four weeks a month, 12 months year" pace - not the ramped up "Making sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert" pace she says. I CALL BULLSHIT (on

Oh man, I would pay $1,500 just to agree to meet this man, fly out to him, dress to the nines, look him up and down, laugh in his face and say "Not even if your dick tasted like Nutella, dude!"

That's generally a mix of not knowing anything about music (if you like at least some pop or folk or rock, there are some country songs out there you'd probably like too) with a smidge of classism.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA one of the questions on the AMA:

"The Female human body is the most beautiful work of Art God ever created"

Thank you, Joe Gorga. Now please shut up for the rest of your life.

"I do not ever want to have kids, so if a girl is wanting to have babies, I am not her man." Well, at least we can be modestly sure he won't reproduce.

Black women: This is one less dumbass man we have to deal with! He's doing us a HUGE favor! *victory dance*

I don't even have (or want) kids, but I can certainly imagine that if I had a baby who was starving, and I had no skills that could lead to employment or any way of acquiring those skills, I would be willing to put up with anyone who would ensure that my child lived to adulthood. Like I wrote in a different post,

This really reinforces the idea that the best way to help any community is to ensure women are fully educated and able to support themselves. Like so many other women around the world, this woman's entire life depends on her husband. When you're so economically fragile, I can see why you're inclined to believe and

My ex-husband was like this. He was on vacation, lounging in his bathrobe all day. I asked him to put the potatoes on. That's it. I left a note how to do it. I show up after a 12 hour day...and supper isn't started. He says he didn't know how to boil water. Oh, and he's super hungry because I didn't leave anything for

As someone whose parents did precisely this, DON'T. Nothing is more infuriating than having to repeat your name over and over and spell it to every single person you meet. This is not the kind of unique I wanted to be

No... nope no. I get it. We all love Kerry Washington and wish we were her. That dress was so insanely out of character awful. It looked like a kids school project.

THIS. This is how you wear Prada.

Yeah, I think the issue is that Klugman's ire is misplaced–it's not that they decided to tribute Monteith and not Klugman, it's that they made bad decisions with the rest of their time, cutting down who had a fuller tribute than the In Memorium section.

I know very little about either Monteith or Klugman (I live under a rock, okay?) and the point about a youth-obsessed culture is a fair one, but perhaps the greater hype around Monteith is the tragic untimeliness and preventability of his death.

Wow. I'm glad I didn't invite you to my Emmys party.
