I can’t find the words to accurately describe how the BMW makes me feel. It looks pretty good, I wouldn’t call it great, but it is soooooooooooooooooo much better than the leaked shots of the actual 4 series

I had a boss with one of these (also a 6 speed) and it definitely tickled the taint. The car, not the boss.

What shocks me is just how tall modern pickups have become. That is utterly ridiculous.

My thoughts:

You can say fuck ergo in an STI, a Z, or (obviously) a Dodge Viper. The whole point of those cars is you pay just enough money to wrap stuff around the big angry motor so you don’t kill yourself while thrashing the tires and your own spine. As an engineer who has designed many things from many materials over decades, it is my firm conclusion that steel is superior in almost every regard. And there is an alloy for every need.

Here’s a weird one: You can put a VW Jetta front bumper on these and they look pretty good.

I agree with Rob, and it’s probably 165,000 miles deep, rather than 65,000. With that said, swapping parts in and out of the Merkur is a breeze. Thunderbirds and SVO Mustangs of the same era can be raided for cheap engine parts.

I feel like this actually needs a headache rack and KC lights and whatever else you can do to make it Marty McFly-like. But not for even half that price and never with a 4cyl/2wd (That’s actually saying quite a bit as 2/3rds of my cars feature 4cyl toyota engines).

This much work, but not to a 4x4 indicates bad judgment. Knowing that the customizer (or the person who paid a shop to do the work) lacked judgment, how do you evaluate the risk of this truck having unseen corners cut? Very high.

Whoever built this truck made an awesome lie. The body style looks great and it’s nicely exectued. But with the 4-banger engine and no 4WD, the lift kit and off-road tires are a waste. Should have lowered it and put on some fat street meats. And then put a turbocharger kit on it. This thing is cool, but way…

I really, really love the idea of this truck, but then the negatives kept coming: 4x2, 144k miles, salvage title, etc. That was enough for me to read.

That’s because all the lines are clogged with these copper filaments.
