Oh come now, they didn’t “lose.” A Trump appointed judge dismissed the case, which Disney would have anticipated and which they will have a response for, and the case will continue. A case being dismissed due to a lack of standing means that it wasn’t even considered on its merits, so Disney in no way “lost.” The

Arbitrarily denying the player a chance to get to know its male cast better felt tied up in some heteronormative nonsense.

I was curious as well, to the point where I joined the discord just to read the AMA quick. It didn’t really give any better answers on exactly what “removing gear score” did to affect the equipment/gameplay. Presumably the gear still has stats of some kind and some gear will be objectively better than other gear.

Good luck. I feel like silly lawsuits like these are still just being fuelled by a weak understanding of how AI art generation works and the misconception that it’s just copy/pasting elements from the works its referencing.

the problem is that using copyrighted work as reference to develop new products and software is totally fine so long as the copyrighted work is no longer present in the released product. I don’t know the ins and outs of this ai image generator but most likely it breaks down the image composition into an instruction

It's was supposed to be released, date and all, almost a decade ago. Not kidding. Like, trailers and everything. And people still claim this isn't a scam. They are constantly "close". Lol.

This seems more like a “RPGs of 2023" list than a “Best RPGs of 2023" list.

If you read the article, it suggests that there’s an inherent contradiction in using AI-generated art to promote indie developers. I’m explaining why that’s not a contradiction at all. Small indie developers are more likely to use AI-generated art than large developers who have the budget to hire full-time artists.

Wouldn’t small indie developers be more likely to use AI generated art? Let’s say I’m a solo developer with no art skills and a tiny budget. I could either use AI tools to generate my art or buy generic art asset packs. Either way, the end result is going to look generic and mediocre but being a solo developer with a

Agreed. The use of AI here to stay.

I can’t wait for us to get past this whole point. It isn’t going anywhere and won’t be regulated away. I still remember how up in arms everyone one was about how digital art was going to ruin the entire industry. A decade or two from now & an article like this will seem even sillier than it currently does. Adapt or

What an egregious and over the top punishment.

I'm in the U.K. This still has the unpleasant whiff of money about it.

That is in no way a fitting punishment for the crime of “hacking” companies that should already have had better systems in place. Does he not have any family, is house arrest not an option?

I think it’s going to be wildly successful because it’s a too-big-to-fail situation. Continuing their profit stream of just shitting out CoD and Warzone DLCs and updates to Candy Crush is working quite well for them. A lot of it is already gaurunteed marginal revenue. This is the fastest selling Call of Duty ever,

Breyers used to be a treat as a kid.  After trying it as an adult, I won’t touch any of it.

I’m OK with that. The argument in favor of the long-term capital gains taxes is that investing money is good for everyone long-term, so we want to encourage it, but I’m not sure that is enough to justify the massively disparate tax percentages anymore.

What you WANT to do is raise capital gains taxes!

Yeah, but in this case it’s not about making it healthier but rather cheaper. With all their changes, I wonder if it even changes the caloric content in any capacity?

I think the solution that would be okay to almost everyone is to segregate actual sexual content in his own category, and give us a option to hide it.
