We’re not fine with it, just don’t have any choice.

Your first paragraph is a silly absolutism that sounds like a 1920s person claiming “the horseless carriage will NEVER go faster than 30mph! Unthinkable!”.

I think this article inadvertently reveals why they’d cut it. There’s no comfortable way to turn murder and torture into a neat fungible value to compare against a bunch of others without looking absurd. You could of course outright not allow your student of Hogwarts to do something that would get them instantly

The Epic store has been around for a few years now and is STILL barebones. I HATE using their store.

They always pick weird hours for these things. Depending how my work schedule goes I may not be able to watch it live and play catch up with it later.

No, it’s really very bad.

Damn...the comparisons to Destiny 2 are not great since I hate how they handle delivering narrative that exists while the “year” is active and then disappears forever. I’ll have to read more into it to see if the additional narrative/whatever content actually sticks around, because if not that potentially kills a lot

No, it’s fairly disgusting.

The last time I went to Applebees, I tried their $1 ritas which were over loaded with sugar and the food literally tasted like it was heated from the frozen food isle.  I went with an open mind, but swore never to go back.

But their food is so terrible, and their cocktails are diabetes bombs.

Some serious balls must have been dropped for this otherwise proven dev studio to fumble so badly. I’m looking forward to hear more in months or years to come about the development of this game...

I have also been playing this game in solo and while I had pretty low expectations for it - I just want a frictionless game to play while I listen to some podcasts before bed - I got to the second area and I think I’m done with it.

Oh, man, for a second I thought this was a headline announcing Bobby Kotick getting fired without a golden parachute, on account of all of the horrific sexual harassment and anti-union activity that happened under his watch.

The title on this article could really use some work.

Don’t “blame yourself” in a fake auto da fe. Instead, give developers time to create their game, employ QA teams (and pay them humane wages) and generally keep suits far away from your dev teams. How about that?

Seems to be implying that Redfall’s, erm, “creative direction” was entirely internally motivated. Nobody told them to make a co-op looter shooter, they just wanted to try to flex themselves creatively.

Which is very plausible! A lot of bad games that people wanna pin on clueless executives were actually just creative

Yea, those idiots I tend to just ignore. Generally whenever someone screams “woke” it’s a good signal to just go “mm hmm, sure buddy, ok. You go play with your blocks now” and move on to a different review.

I’ve only played it for a few hours but I’ve enjoyed it so far. The atmosphere is great and I’ve found exploration to be rewarding. Lots of good worldbuilding here with interesting POIs to discover. Run ‘n gun combat has been pretty enjoyable with the shotgun and Layla’s ability set. Peformance isn’t great but I’ve

This is unfortunate, because I was really intrigued by the concept on its reveal.
But nearly every bit of its promotion since has dampened my excitement gradually since.

Discord, even with its recent ‘forum thread’ feature, is just nowhere near as good for this.”
