I’ve got to be honest, I just kind of shrugged and moved on when they announced that model. It’s exploitative, and they couldn’t even be bothered to account for basic issues like you mentioned here. While I do grasp your point here, I’d argue you should be more concerned over whether it moves to other games given it

Once again, the entirely online part? Totally ok with that. My problem is whether there’s no shows again, for me E3 is largely a way to get trailers all in one point so I can figure out what I’m interested in. When companies decide to drag it out by throwing these all over the year it’s frustrating, so the success of

Right, is it just me or did my post on here vanish? I can only see it through my notifications/discussions now. We really need a new comment system on here...

I just wanted to mention I appreciate how these (and another list article lately) haven’t been slideshows - cheers.

I’ve got to be honest, I feel like the major problem here is actually the copyright claim - we’ve hit the point where even investigative journalism (which is basically what this is) is easily wiped away by copyright. The DMCA and other related laws have so much to answer for it defies belief, along with the companies

I missed Neon Abyss, while I already have Remnant. Annoyed.

I mean, I agree, but I was more pointing out that the author called it a roguelike. Which is something else.

Isn’t Hades a roguelite?

Honestly, after the Marvel Heroes mess I’ll simply say that games being shut down should have a legal obligation to publish their source code so that people can set up fan servers. As it is, even if people go back and try to fix this decades later a lot of this is going to be difficult to find most likely.

I mean, it’s Kickstarter. They’ve been blatant conspiracy theorists and assholes for nearly a decade. Probably the first sign was their attitude towards GMOs. The point about their size is spot on, they basically stumbled into being huge and then never bothered to do a good job.

I actually play gacha games, and this list still makes me feel guilty. I mean honestly, there are other F2P games out there.

I’ve got admit, I’m not sure I agree with your analysis entirely - the ugly section is bemusing. The only one of those which really saw community wide attention was the anniversary thing. And frankly, past that I’d be more concerned still with the unhealthy attitudes from their monetization - the community as a whole

It looks interesting, but... pre-alpha? I guess it’s at least mostly a cinematic trailer, but still that’s honestly kind of ridiculous to include implied gameplay segments. I’m also already skeptical of their release date just based on that.

Didn’t miHoYo’s guide to the event specifically say you didn’t have to stealth? Albeit, honestly for most players I suspect this isn’t much different. That said, given all the other animals killable in this, I’m more concerned about the lack of petability of the foxes from that Dragonspine mini quest.

That case is ridiculously ugly. It’s like someone wrapped an old style suitcase in ugly airport tape.

Kind of? At least as far as a quick google/look at Wikipedia shows these guys are mostly above the board. I did find some stuff that was distasteful (a case against Mueller’s appointment most notably), but by and large they really do mostly seem to just object to cases of campaign finance violations and the like. They

The trashfire that ended it really was a disappointment, you knew it had been going downhill even publicly, but you still didn’t want it to end. Also, as a comment here while people may see D2 clone as derogatory, it really is a pretty specific subgenre, and this was one of the greatest examples of it.

Got to admit, when I see Mencken quotes it’s more often the one about a moron president. Continually salient quote though.

I legitimately don’t know what to say about this, the problem is these ‘games’ are nothing of the sort. They aren’t fun, they aren’t even gambling, they just straight up exist to take advantage of people with problems. I honestly struggle to see this as anything except fraud, and I’m saying that as someone who thinks

Thank you. The OP made me twitch. Communism has never been tried on scale, neoconservativism was born from foreign policy, socialism is an actual failed economic system, and even using the name social democracy it’s still a political view rather than an economic system.
