I work as a film soundman/audio postproducer and while I usually record people most things i know apply to vehicles as well, in fact vehicles are a lot nicer to record.

Because it's a lightweight aircraft. It would be a little more complicated in a Mi-24 Hind.... but much cooler.

Nice idea, unuckily the Ferrari had the engine in the middle and the Porsche was rear-engined, the ones at the aussie race are front-engined, so no much more room left for the fuel, better in the back than next to the driver.
