The AG does go after large corporations that bribe people in those countries. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act enforcement is a thriving industry. America is a perfect place for this investigation precisely because Americans don’t really care about soccer. If the US and USMNT were to be targeted for retaliation by FIFA,

It’s the attorney general of the US going after foreign nationals in a foreign country about a sport we don’t care about... Bribery is no different than lobbying and a lot of companies here/american nationals engage in that type of activity in foreign countries.

Honestly, I think a part of the reason that America is going after FIFA is precisely because we don’t like soccer that much. Places that are more into soccer are more willing to turn a blind eye, even subconsciously, because of their attachment to the game.

I wish I was out of the grays to star. Not to mention the Barry Bonds investigation, balco, etc. We have limited resources and this is their focus? Fuck this shit.

Because FIFA probably doesn’t have a powerful lobby in Washington.

Why are we still wasting time going after people in a sport that Americans don’t care about... Why doesnt the AG go after large corporations/americans that bribe people in these countries? Why don’t we go after the HSBC bankers who were also in Switzerland that were actually laundering money for terrorists and drug
