Thing is, even a “huge” budget for GM or Toyota is going to be a complete joke compared to how much money Google and Apple spend on obtaining the best talent to build the best software teams. Unless you’re willing to commit that kind of money and commit to countless years of refining software expertise there’s just no

It’s a three ton vehicle and with the angle it was going the tires/wheels probably went onto the other vehicles.

People get muscle memory for the car they drive on a regular basis but because pedal positioning can vary by model when people are panicking they’ll sometimes use the muscle memory for the wrong vehicle. Someone testing a Rivian is likely to normally drive something else so panicking and going for where the brake

We’re just gonna pretend that the Kia Sorento that’s still 4" longer than this Outlander doesn’t exist?

I doubt her parents are that type at all, she’s probably the way she is because her parents are pieces of crap that basically abandoned her to be raised by her grandmother. Her parents are likely equally horrible people.

You should ask your wife if she would be willing to sacrifice 5-12% endurance for another 2"

Right...that’s why people stop to use the bathroom and change drivers while their EVs charge and add >100 miles in a 15-20 minute bathroom and meal stop.

Not in this way though. This would be like if Republicans came in power and since they tend to be more anti union just started handing out $5000 in subsidies to companies with non-union workforces since those factories are almost all in red states. Just think about what kind of precedent this sets in a country where

It really doesn’t and it’s not even clear that this would be at all legal. I really doubt it’d be if Republicans tried to put through a bill that subsidized all non-union companies by $4500 to kill unionized companies either. Either way if this actually passes it would set a pretty horrible precedent in a country

The XC40 not being quite ready doesn’t mean all EVs aren’t ready. You tend to have much smoother sailing if you buy a Tesla and other manufacturers are coming out with much longer range vehicles and their own additional (and hopefully more reliable) charging networks.

>>Discriminating against workers’ choice to not unionize is some severely twisted logic.>>

Not really surprising or unusual, Ford had lots full of thousands of F-150's waiting on one or two parts as well: https://www.carsdirect.com/automotive-news/interesting/viral-ford-f-150-photos-show-thousands-of-unsellable-trucks

Honestly the timeline and pricing for the CT are sort of a pipe dream. The only way the pricing is achievable is if they keep kicking the can down the line until they get scale on those new cells using cheaper materials. I had a preorder but ended up canceling it when it became obvious just how behind they would be.

Large EVs like this actually save the most fuel versus smaller EVs because large pickups and SUVs use the most fuel by far. Getting one Prius to become a Model 3 doesn’t save anywhere near as much fuel as getting a F150 Raptor to become a R1T.

Those are the final EPA numbers for the Rivian. The estimates were “300+” but they put out final numbers because they’re going to deliver the first units this month. You can look on the EPA website yourself, Rivian is right there in the manufacturer dropdown for 2022:

If you don’t want to equip leather and ventilated seats and the larger pack then the Ford is a great value but once you option it out it ends up costing a lot more than the Rivian while not having as many good EV specific features. For example, fast charging rate is much worse on the Ford than the Rivian. Rivian is

The trims are the same between the two powertrains, the hybrid mostly just doesn’t allow for significant towing or AWD.

If you sell your car you have to remove the plates and return them to the DMV. Otherwise whatever the new driver does...guess whose problem it is?

The driver likely knew that he had video and specifically saved and reviewed it-it’s one button press in the car to save recent footage and you can review it from the car to make sure it saved. Not sure if he told the guy but he probably should have just told this dumbass he has it on video that he’s full of crap. But

Roav (by Anker) on the low end, Blackvue on the higher end. If you’re buying lower end units you might want to get two, one for the rear and one for the front. The higher end units usually come with two cameras.
