Sounds like the plot to MTV's Finding Carter, only more interesting.

The metal "V" clips are the only way to get a good pin curl. When I used to bob my hair short, I always got compliments when I pincurled and did flapperesque eye makeup.

I was in France for a year, and the few Parisisn girls I made friends with thought it was weird that I had what they called "a pile of clothes." Each of them had maybe three shirts, two pairs of pants, one expensive dress and a sweater. They thought my dozen t-shirts was excessive and made fun of me for it.

These are my looks too.

I want Barbara Bush to turn me into an old lady too!

I've lost 24 lbs in 2 months using my Jawbone UP and the MyFitnessPal app combined. I always lock my phone up with the rest of my personal items when I'm in the gym, so it's a lot more convenient to have something on my wrist. I don't care what others think, I'm doing whatever I can to get healthy and it works.

This sort of nasty attitude right here is why a lot of people who need to get fit avoid the gym. If you don't like gadgets, don't use them. I won't judge others on their workouts because it's their body and their business. If someone wants to throw shade, I'll be over here doing my half-assed squats and throwing up

She was unfairly grouped into the "romance" genre because she is female. The publishing world is still to this day one of the most sexist,

The first Outlander book was classified as "romance" because it was Diana Gabaldon's first book and she has a vagina. The literary world is one of the most gender biased.

Just another day in America. Nothing to see here, folks.

I have retinal lattice so every few years I have to go get my retinal holes lasered shut. It's so painful I tend to pass out halfway through the procedure. I can't even imagine how painful a tattoo needle would feel going into the eye, being a physical object instead of just a laser beam.

I am disappointed that I didn't get to hear one of Albert's voicemails.

There is no reality where this woman wears a size 1x.

I hate watch this so hard.

The 90's was the decade of glitter teeth curiously of Bonne Bell.

Tinkerbell had that gross pink glue nail polish that peeled right off when it dryed!

Years ago, after many a bad date, I made a list on my Livejournal about the traits I was looking for in a guy. I had about 200 women jump on me in the comments and attack my list and say a lot of nasty things about me; picky being the least mean thing said. Maybe a dozen women defended me. It's still out there

This has nothing to do with generations, other than nothing has changed during them. MSU and the whole Greater Lansing Area have a long history of rape culture. My mother expirienced the same thing when she was there in the early 70's, I expirienced the same thing in the aughts. We see it more because of the

That's easy to explain. Maternity leave happens AFTER the baby is born, so they no longer care. They only want to save the fetuses.

The quality of the homeschooling really depends on class. I've known people on both sides of the spectrum. There are the kids from poor religious families who were homeschooled to be sheltered from the "horrors" of the world and end up weird. And then there are the rich kids who are homeschooled that have tutors
