I agree with all of your points wholeheartedly, but really felt the need to comment at my very audible snickering at the name “Jim Boob”...

Where the hell is the “Yes, if I had a time machine or it somehow never stopped being 1996” option?
You're a genius. Some engineer needs to start working on a way to make this happen immediately. We can call it the cunt pump.
Pausing for a second to contemplate the fact that TMZ’s hardball tactics could have led to Jenner’s suicide. This is not fun and games, this is dangerous stuff. I’m glad she made it through, and I join to chorus of congratulations.
The wax figures can’t hold a candle to the real thing.
When my kids look like they’re about to puke on a flight, I usually aim for folks like you then pretend it’s an accident. Thanks for being a target, my fellow parents and I truly appreciate it! I promise I will keep them in my seat (they have great range).
When my teenaged boys were babies, back in the early days of Internet Complaining (1997—2003), things were different. What changed between now and then was not an increase in germs or a bend in the physical boundaries of airplanes, but a rise in the paranoia around flying and the increasingly infuriating experience…
They created their own version of being a “good Christian.” They act like God actually calls them on the phone.
I’ve seen a lot of facebook people (friends of friends, not my friends) doing “soft” defenses, such as, “The family already took care of this problem, leave them alone,” “kids play like this all the time,” “it was a long time ago”, and quite a few saying, “this is just the liberal media trying to oppress Christians…
“It was an enormous, enormous triumph,” Steinem told ABC “We feel very celebratory and positive that we have created a voyage across the DMZ in peace and reconciliation that was said to be impossible.”
33. Doesn’t whine
This is exactly what the problem is with situations like this, kind of like when you start acting like the father of a fetus has to sign off on abortion. Men have been using existing, outside-the-womb kids to get back at their wives/girlfriends since time immemorial, and now we’re getting to a point where technology…
Shit. So basically it doesn’t matter that he signed a contract that said they both had to agree to either to bring them to term, keep them frozen or destroy them, and nobody could do whatever they wanted.
Also the hidden cost of fishing the East river, the multitudes of poor dead gangsters that will be deprived of their sleeping partners.
I, for one, welcome our new low rise overlords. Seriously, speaking as a short and curvy person with an actual low rise, low rise jeans can not come back soon enough. I feel as if I’ve been walking in a denim desert for the past decade or so since the last time the planet was blanketed with Old Navy low rise bootlegs.…
While I totally understand what you’re saying (and I’m also only 41), I have found that “anger” does more damage to me than it does to them, or forwarding the cause. I tend to try and shift that anger to amusement, rebellion and mild derision.
But they are TOTALLY SELF SUFFICIENT, right? And screw all those poor people who actually need public assistance for their totally reasonably-sized family of four, right? They should either have to be sick or bankrupt instead of having universal healthcare that would make the rest of us good Christians pay for birth…
The Duggars live in Tontitown, AR, it is NOT three hours away from civilization. They live in a more rural area, yes, but they are less than 30 minutes from the state's flagship research university and all of the resources available in a typical college town. They are also not far from Wal-Mart corporate headquarters…
I have always been enraged that the Duggars have declared their HOME a church. Thus securing tax exempt status for it. They don't pay any property tax OR sales tax if they are buying something for their home. Wouldn't that be nice if the rest of us could do that? I read somewhere that they get about $66,000 in tax…
Are you familiar with the No Longer Quivering site? There are a number of children of Quiverful or Quiverful-like families who have left. Most of them have siblings who are still involved with the communities. The site also has associated forums. It could be a good starting point for finding interviewees and is also…
