I’ll be honest with you, I really don’t care about your momentum. I live in a neighborhood where LOTS of people walk. The amount of times I’ve seen near collisions between walkers and bicyclists because the bicyclists want to “keep their momentum” is way too damn high.

I’ve noticed this lately here (Illinois but not in Chicago proper) too. People never used to do that, and now it’s so commonplace that I wonder if it started getting taught in Driver’s Ed at some point.  It’s really odd/annoying.

Also Minnesota: People who think it’s okay to merge onto the freeway at 15-20 mph below the speed of traffic. I live in the metro, I get that some ramps are short and there isn’t time, but I’m talking about the kinds of people who get to the bottom of a half-mile long on-ramp still in second gear.
