I’d have to argue that self-praise is a wonderful thing, it lets me know that you’re completely full of yourself, and I really don’t want to be around you. In fact, telling me you’re ‘the least racist person, accepting of all the cultures and people’ set off a big red flag in my mind - “This person is suspect”.

It’s the discretionary spending bit. I’d be shocked if they didn’t give a bureaucrat the power to define any caps on bills or just completely classify everything as discretionary.

The first option sounds really good...until you look into what discretionary income means to the federal government.  It’s not your income after your bills, it’s your income after the minimum amount of bills the government thinks you need to survive.
