They do. The Focus EV drives great, albeit with a short range, but you can get them for almost nothing. The C-Max Energi is a little floatier but still a fun car.

I don’t care where you work. I’m a service writer at a fucking bike shop (the pedal kind) and billing a customer for work they haven’t approved is a Hard No and deeply unprofessional (in an industry where “professionals” are sometimes high school students).
I just spent a week driving my dad’s base Macan through LA, including a ride down from SF (I drove the whole way, uninterrupted).
Sonett is a surprisingly brilliant hillclimb choice.
As a NorCal native, every part of your purchase story had me cringing, from the fact that you paid $2500 for a broken Beetle from Star and Crawdad, to the fact that you probably misspelled “Starr.” Glad this thing is finally running, though.

But what if GM invented an HVAC that could blow hot air as hard as this designer
Has it occurred to anyone in this thread that the point of testing is to answer this question?
I am literally in awe that there are people stupid enough to think the best way to answer a question is to never test it.
This isn’t about removing kinetic energy from forward momentum. It’s about the physical stress that a road experiences due to the force necessary to keep a car from falling through the earth. Every road already experiences this. That’s why they crack and fail. Go ahead and shoot the engineers behind this project an…
You know how roads crack and fail?
That’s what testing is for!
Also consider that there’s literally no reason the bay area can’t have effective public transit, but there will be no political or financial energy for it while “ridesharing” exists - which is, by premise, a substitute for public transit that trades civil infrastructure for cheap, VC-subsidized labor.
Usually when I read a DT story, my thought process is twofold:
Check out the market for these. If it threw a rod, or the heads cracked, or the block needs to be milled, you can still come out ahead. Hell, I would probably just tow this to a shop and let them have their way with it (and my wallet).
“That being the case, are the only artists capable of having the proper “perspective” to paint something like this black women? Black mothers? Black mothers who have lost a son? Black mothers who have lost a son specifically in a lynching?”
You’re a niche user!
You literally said that electric vehicles are niche vehicles, yet you’re a niche user.
Electric cars are for people who understand their needs. The idea that a vehicle should have the potential to do everything and you shouldn’t actually make hard decisions based on your needs is why everyone drives a massive 4wd vehicles in the city.
