Yeti does make plenty that fit. But the Audi cup holders are placed and sized specifically for a can of soda or small cup of coffee. Nothing over 12oz basically unless it tapers in at the top and has no handles.

No problem. I think the story here as you put it is assume you’re not covered then ensure you’ve done detailed due diligence against your credit card, insurance company, and rental car agreements. The only person that any of these companies want on the hook for the risk of the rental is the person renting it.

More importantly on credit cards, be sure it covers PRIMARY and not SECONDARY. Amex for example only covers Secondary unless you opt in and pay for their Primary service. Chase Sapphire covers Primary but the Reserve has a larger policy cover.

I have no feelings either way about this car except that the dealer network will kill the sales on this due to mark up. A few people with FU money will bite the bullet, fueling other dealers to try and get the same.

I was trying to find the convo I had on Reddit with an ex-sales guy who worked at the dealership but couldn’t find it. I found the cars a few years ago on /r/whatcarshouldibuy. Whether or not the logic actually makes sense, I can’t speak to.

The dealership looks like it sold x amount. Pads the books, gets support from Infiniti/hits financial goals (probably individual bonuses), and then flips the cars later. Probably writes them off in some fashion.

It definitely doesn’t benefit the dealership and the people buying them.
