Not everyone needs career success! You have a great relationship, congrats on that.

Hey. Maybe do some research before siding with the Today show in throwing this stylist under the bus. She never represented herself as being able to do five people’s hair in five minutes.

I hate trump, but honestly this just comes across as bullying Ivanka.

I mean, don’t go on a show and say “i have these tragic issues” and then say “these issues are none of your business”

Yeah, I think ‘they’ is fine.

i think se smith wrote an article about how she was victimized by someone touching their shoulder at an airport to get their attention once

se smith really is the absolute worst human.

“Hate speech and freedom of speech? Two different things.”

Allegiant was completely unrecognizable from the book. Way to fuck a franchise that should have been a sure thing up so completely.

Not super sure how trials work. Did she have the opportunity to opt out? She should absolutely have the opportunity to opt out. I understand the rights of the accused, but if you don’t want to be an accuser you should be able to wholesale opt out of dealing with a crime.

How is the system built on obtaining convictions if there is a requirement that people testify at all? The whole reason we have issues with the system is the assumption of innocence. This is why people who have been raped have to testify and be revictimized. It would be a hell of a lot easier if this wasn’t the case.

Yeah fuck people who work with those who have been abused.

Wouldn’t “running out of the courtroom” be a more accurate title than “breaking down on the stand”?

idk sex seems flattering? like kanye wants to fuck you. getting called a bitch can feel like a slap in the face, or demeaning. I can see how they are pretty different things.

Paternity and Maternity leave needs to be mandatory, then the only way you can really discriminate is by preferring childfree men and women, which, honestly, is kinda fair.

Because most of the time it is the woman leaving work to be the primary child-carer. Which is obviously wrong — men should have to/be able to do this just as often as women choose to. And either party should be fine with taking a little career hit for it.

As a non-child having woman I’m pretty okay with being paid more than my child-having counterparts. It really is pretty obvious when you’re here later every night and not leaving for emergencies all the time.

Interesting! Good to know, I just remember reading a response from her in the 90's that she did NOT like the movie whatsoever.

Yeah... but she HATED ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ ??? so the movie/remake probably shouldn’t be part of her legacy.

Yes, that’s a very good point, but it still doesn’t feel right to call such hard work “luck”. It’s a large factor, but just as large as the actual work.
