idk i dont really get stories about how men are awful (chainsmoking next to pregnant wife) and only hear how its bad about the guy. She had red flags. She should have left. She wasn’t destitute. She could have left.

haha you really have to separate pop music from the artists/shit behind it. Don’t sacrifice your workout.
Just the normal one I have which is “why would you have a child with someone this shitty”
As a woman I can’t imagine procreating with a man like that either. But other people, man.
Cat’s book hasn’t been released yet. It’s out at the end of the month. If you linked to it (which you should have) you’d have caught that.
“Seemingly unconcerned with its beauty editor’s serious substance abuse issues”
I don’t think it’s that... I think they just aren’t as feminist as they claim to be and don’t cover it bc they don’t think it will get as many clicks as gotcha posts about people who are earnestly attempting (and failing) to do feminism.
dude is high as fuck in his insta vid
i’m a bit shocked the author of this post did not talk about that
“It might make us “better” but it won’t make us as effective”
Right? But that’s the point, humans aren’t naturally selfless. You need to dangle a carrot to get people to do good stuff. That’s the way it’s always been and I wonder if it’s more important to be right or to get people to do the right thing.
Didn’t we just see the opposite of this....
I guess it depends if you want to convince people to join your side or if you want to be free to speak your truth.
Isn’t it her job? She is a paid writer for Jezebel and writes about race. If she isn’t going to educate people through her paid job, who is?
“This is my problem with protests. It’s so incredibly hard to imagine these people actually getting motivated next time when it really matters.”
I went to a protest for an environmental issue in bush W era and I’ve never been back bc it got out of control and people were yelling and violent. I’m super sensitive and get very frightened if anyone is yelling, but my friend peer pressured me to go to this march with them and it was a nice baby step to know I can…
Okay but I think you *do* already know? Compare the numbers of blm protest to this protest — there’s your chunk of women are aren’t going to be there for you.
Yeah, i left the non-profit world bc i was literally on welfare bc i couldn’t find a job in the sector that paid me enough to survive in my city (with roommates, never going out). I burned out, as so many do.
told you!!! everyone wants to hear your perspective!
That’s awesome!
