I also thought the Warthog was lame and dumb until I learned to drive it. Because Halo isn’t a driving game. Steering isn’t controlled by the stick, *direction* is. Point the camera, go in a direction, the steering is handled automatically.

The Warthog isn’t nearly as bad as it first seems. Does the back end like to swing around? Yup, sure does. Does it matter? Nah, not really. You drive by simply pointing your view the way you want to go. That’s it. All the swinging around the happens is largely meaningless. Just ignore it. Just keep looking…
