I don’t understand this. Most modern gas-powered cars are basically silent already. Especially at 19 miles an hour, a Toyota Camry or even Ford Explorer doesn’t make significantly more noise driving by than a Nissan Leaf or a Tesla Model S.

Not sure if I come from another planet. But if the car works and still moves properly, then it’s reliable. You can still drive your car to work if the stereo is broken.

I’m going with the guy in my town that bought one and used the argument that he was doing a solid for the planet and consequently shouldn’t be penalized for not taking out construction permits on the garage he was building for the car.
