Well, that notion was included as a “study” in Bidumb’s multi-trillion dollar infrastructure plan which was passed months ago. We can all guess how it will end up.
“Vegan vinyl” is a head-shaker. Vinyl seats would be a hard pass, with fake vinyl not even being worth a look. And fake vinyl in a fast vehicle which shouldn’t be fast at all is completely oxymoronic.
Better build quality too (but that isn’t really saying much).
Sometimes, and this is one of those times, where all of that stuff goes out the window for the sake of actually enjoying the product. Although I’m not sure you understand that.

Absolutely NO EV should have high performance. after all, they exist to save the planet which runs completely counter to high performance.
My reply to this article is a single word: good.
All of the infrastructure in the world doesn’t mean squat if people STILL have to stand around for hours waiting for their cars to recharge. That fact seems to have gotten lost in the frenzy to be trendy.
Add this to the long list of reasons not to buy an EV.
