I used to never like home runs. Then I saw a guy flip a bat after he did it and I thought “that’s the most fun thing I’ve ever seen anyone do on a baseball field”. Gives me chills every time I see a guy pump his fist after striking someone out. I can’t help but think of how much fun these guys must be having.

MLB is not trying to repress anything. There is actually an over the top enjoyment of watching guys jump around and smile and “look like they’re having so much fun”. It’s a little weird imo.
