This is the detail you chose to harp on? Really?

What if there isn’t a clear vote leader? Bernie ends up with 36%, Pete with 34%, and the remaining moderates with a clear lead over Warren making up the rest of the votes.
I like that analogy. It also fits with my mindset: I’d *rather* call a plumber to fix things, but if I’m prevented from doing so, I might have to resort to the bulldozer.
What made her so successful is that her sword was righteous. She has a talent for speaking truth to power in a way that is constructive and substantive. She lands a hit without going low. I also appreciated that she stood up for her opponents several times when they were the targets of unfair or just plain stupid…
The DNC’s rules say that a candidate must get a majority of delegates to win the nomination. Not a plurality. Candidates plan their campaigns according to those rules. Changing them midstream pulls the rug out from candidates who assumed the rules were going to be applied.
You can disagree with the rules. But with 6…
Somehow I doubt this will still be the tune you’re singing if come July Bernie is in the same place he is now: a close second place In the delegate count. The delegate rules exist for a reason: producing a nominee who can amass support from not just a plurality but a majority of the party. This isn’t about…
If my facebook feed is any indication, people fucking LOVE angry Elizabeth Warren, and the ones who don’t were never, ever going to vote for her anyways.
She won’t destroy Trump in a debate because Trump doesn’t “debate”. He stands there and says whatever he wants to play to his audience.
I was reading an article last night on the underlying theories behind each campaign, specifically Sanders and Warren, and I finally found a an analogy that explains the appeal to me of Warren over Sanders.
I don’t disagree, but I would note that by far the most heartening thing about last night was how everyone, moderate or liberal, was extremely quick to unite behind the idea of beating a thin-skinned, vainglorious rich person like a pinata.
The Primary is over? - Sorry, nope...Less that 3% of the total Delegates have been pledged to date; 2.6% to be exact:
It seems to me that even if the democratic candidate is “not Elizabeth Warren”, she made pretty damn sure last night it was also “not Michael Bloomberg”.
She’s currently in 3rd in delegates. And Bernie isn’t in first. So, if you want to claim that “the primary is over”, then you better be prepared to vote Buttigieg in November.
Oh my god shut the fuck up, two states out of 50 have voted. I’m an obvious Bernie supporter but just shut upppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
Yeah no, the primary is not over, I don’t need the residents of Iowa and New Hampshire speaking for me.
She had a great debate lastnight and starting out like that was just beautiful.
I have quite a few friends who started with a sober month and now still don’t drink months or years later. They don’t even decide not to drink, it just doesn’t happen because they aren’t interested and prefer the way they feel.
Ugh, I had to take a week off from drinking for a course of antibiotics, and it was tough realising that I probably need to stop drinking regularly. I only really drink wine, and unless it’s a party I rarely go beyond two glasses three times a week, but it was shocking how much more functional I was running on no…
People’s reaction to my sobriety (507days!) have ranged from being nosey to being downright pissed off about it. Like I cant stop drinking if I’m not an alcoholic or haven’t hit rock bottom. But remember, people’s reaction to your sobriety is 100% about their relationship with alcohol, not yours.
I did the same thing. No biggie. Not sure what all the fuss is about, to be honest.
