Every time this subject comes up I’m shocked at how resistant people are to admitting there are literally any potential negative aspects from weed. Weed can be great without having to be perfect, we don’t have to stubbornly refuse to recognise the problems some people have just to protect it.

Also, gambling, easily one of the most devastating addictions out there. I’m not sure what people are getting out of using such a narrow definition of addiction.

I have literally no idea what the academic qualifications of my guest lecturers was and honestly could care less. I think 99.999999% of my classmates would agree. It’s useful for students to hear from as wide a spectrum of background and experience as possible.

Yeah, my masters had a development component and I would have been happy to hear guest lectures from an activist with a history of work with the UN whether they were a celebrity or not. Of course she got this job because of her fame but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have anything to offer.
