My friends and I are sending love from Australia. This is devastating.

This is the problem with describing our social hierarchy as a ladder — it’s not as straightforward and linear as that. It’s more like some kind of zany rope climbing obstacle course.
Jezebel has such a sense of being a safe community space, plus the work the staff do is generally excellent. I really hope they find a new buyer that appreciates them.
Maybe there was and the jury just didn't buy it.
Amateurs.
When I first read this I just about had a temper tantrum. I still can’t believe they didn’t ask her. Especially considering I find it hard to believe she wasn’t Jon’s chosen replacement, she always seemed to make him laugh more than anyone except Colbert.
I agree but I think his team should have put a hold on all outgoing social until they've figured out what their messaging is.
Plus out of character hypersexuality is actually a somewhat common response to rape trauma, so even if the photos were showing her in some kind of wild orgy they still wouldn't be inconsistent with ongoing trauma.
Let’s be real, back room deals might be unpalatable, but they get stuff done. We don’t live in a perfect world.
Great article. We absolutely underestimate how important these behind-the-scenes skills are for actual governance. It's fantastic to hear soaring oration but I would guess 90% of leadership is unglamorous relationship management and negotiation.
It killed me that he chose Cobain - a notoriously average guitarist - as an example of what he’s looking for on a show called’Guitar Star’.
Does it matter if they can sell out huge venues? If artists can support themselves and their music playing festivals and medium venues (which, at least in Australia, they can) then I think plenty of musos are happy with that. Not every artist even wants to be playing stadium shows.
She reminds me so much of ex-Aussie Prime Minister Julia Gillard in this respect. She was also criticised by the public for being cold and robotic but was absolutely adored by her staff for her warmth and generosity.
I meet so many first time dog owners with huskies. It makes me want to cry. I know I’ll see the same dog in a shelter a year later.
Are they really known for aggression? I only know a couple and they’re so dumb and sweet and submissive. It doesn’t matter though because any dog that size needs an incredibly capable handler.
There’s one that’s a regular my local dog park. It’s the sweetest, goofiest dog but my whippet is terrified of it and starts barking the second he sees it, overcome by its sheer mass.
This comment was supposed to go to Pobble, sorry! No idea why kinja gave it to you.
Did you ever watch Louis Theroux’s A Place for Pedophiles, about a facility for offenders who have served their time but are considered too dangerous for release? I would be shocked if this guy didn't end up there.
I’ve lost almost 20kgs in 3.5 months which is starting to get my PCOS symptoms under control! I’m really unwilling to discuss this with most people I know IRL because they inevitably find a way to bum me out, but I trust Jezzies.
Yeah, even the great tohoku quake was only 6 minutes. Which just goes to prove that even a few minutes can be a big fucking deal.
