LOL! Fuck ‘em. I’m no fan of Google, but this is a self inflected wound.

But... isn’t that part of what makes it great?

You’re paying for content whether you watch it or not. That’s how a subscription model works.

Who knew that eventually EVERYONE would act like the Mayor from Jaws.

As always:
“Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants” — Pollan

What you almost certainly witnessed was a soy allergy, it’s the soy sauce not the MSG

Yeah, who thought frozen vegetables were unhealthy?

Eggs, Potatoes, MSG, Whole Milk, Frozen Fruits/Vegetables, Coffee.

Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcial aquatic ceremony

Doesn’t Google allows for blanket disabling of personalization, does Facebook do that?

Your first paragraph was actually a decent argument. You should have stopped there. Making this political is the whole reason we are all in this mess longer than we needed to be. It’s like a second pandemic of political divide that we all need to agree is even more detrimental to all of us.

The endemic scenario is looking most likely. Any chance we had for “COVID zero” died last spring. If we can get enough people the vaccine, and keep some baseline level of safety protocols in place (which, let’s be honest, would probably also help limit colds, coughs, the flu, stomach bugs, etc, too), it’ll just become

The pandemic ends on the day we decide this is no longer a pandemic but just the way life is. That’s where most Americans are now. They know COVID is not going away and are willing to accept COVID as one of many health threats that must be navigated in ordinary life.

This is why Google’s call screening for unknown numbers is so awsome. I don’t have to deal with telemarketers.

I know how Peacock works - what I’m saying is that this looks bad for them on top of them already looking bad because people don’t even want the free shit. Now they got caught trying to get their hornswaggle on, and of all the people to lose face to, they lost face to YouTube TV.

Peacock features a base plan that’s free, but NBCU was trying to bundle the premium plan - an additional 5.99 per user - as part of its deal with YTTV. That’s why YTTV balked, NBC was essentially requiring YTTV subscribers to pay for the same content twice.

I feel like it’s maybe not the greatest sign of Peacock’s health as a streaming platform that people already don’t use it even though it’s already free, and the first fight it tries to pick, it loses - to YouTube TV.

Trump confirmed how “highly respected” these auditors are AFTER their recount results last night: https://www.mediaite.com/opinion/trump-promotes-highly-respected-arizona-audit-results-that-confirm-hes-a-loser/

I, for one, welcome our new vacuum overlords...
