I don’t think they could go wrong with Levar Burton but that's just me.

Hadn’t head of him. Not really into that whole scene.  While I do think that amount of money for a house anywhere is nuts, I do find the right wing outrage machine to be very a)unconcerned about truth and b) in the habit of calling anyone who they disagree with a communist or socialist.

I had several large patches of English Ivy in my yard when I bought the place.  I worked for a good half day removing it by hand, and now once a year pull it from a place where it was particularly entrenched and is hard to get to because of other plants keeps it under control.

Hold the phone...this wasn’t just a rape arrest (not to minimize that in any way, it’s still horrible, the only thing worse is murder) but a child rape which is even worse. I get not wanting to trigger folks with a headline, but if you’re going to have the trigger word rape in there you might as well add that it was

I’m trying to think what would have happened to me if I’d stolen my mom’s credit card to pay for anything. Granted, it was near impossible to do back then, but I’m pretty sure there would have been severe consequences had I stolen money or anything, really. Back then parents ruled, by fear if necessary.

I didn’t use to mind it until my allergies got severe enough to level me and I had to wear a mask. It gets hot and muggy here so that gets old quick while doing physical activity. This was well before the pandemic so little did I know what was coming.

I never played it on the 360. I just thought it was so random someone would do that playing Uno of all things. A toxic community does help explain that a lot.

Anyone remember the early days of XBox Live when they had a message board where, upon request, the mods would tell people why their (or their childrens accounts were banned or consoles bricked? That board was classic. My personal favorite was the boy whose mother wrote in outraged demanding his perma ban be lifted.

First, Mike, I just want to say how glad I am you’re back to doing the things you love. When news of your health was published you were definately in my thoughts, and many others thoughts as well I’m sure. I wasn’t commenting but was reading at the time so wanted to say that.

I’ve got nice size yard in town if anyone wants experience doing the real thing. I’ll throw in iced tea or lemonade and make a nice package deal out of it.

I’m not going to watch the video for 1/2 an hour, so apologies in advance if it covers this.

I was lucky enough by pure chance to pick up a next gen console (actually both, yeah, I’m aware how absurdly lucky I am and feel like apologizing to all those who want to buy and don’t even have one yet.  Sorry.) and am really looking forward to this game. Tales of is one of my favorite series. Probably only Trails

I still miss the 8 track clunk.  I swear I’d like that on my mp player or phone.

And I totally skipped over the video in the article thinking it was an ad...my bad for the repost.

Now playing

I was about to suggest the manual was probably a thick book but holy moses it wasn’t. This model does include stop and rewind, though but only for cartridges you bought. The rentals couldn’t be rewound.

TV’s used to be crazy expensive anyway. They’re one thing that has gotten less expensive over time. In 1953-4 color sets were available for the first time for the average consumer, and a huge 15 inch screen would set you back $1,000 in 1954 dollars. That’s the equivalent of $10,100 today. For that price today you can

Now there are some of the sounds that I recall from my childhood. Never had or played tabletop Space Invaders, though our local Pizza Hut had a few tabletop games. The corner arcade by the time I started playing in the early 1980s had all stand up arcade boxes. I don’t recall smoking being allowed there - but it was

I had the great misfortune to be in two toxic leadership units in my military career. They poison the entire unit and utterly kill morale. They surround themselves with yes men and people who are toxic too, or too incompetent to do anything about it. The system itself is corrupted to protect them and serve their

In the US this would be referred to as spillage, and a lot more than a warning on a message board would result to the person who posted it and/or originally leaked it. They’d have their clearance suspended during the investigation, probably even stripped, their computer or device used to post it seized(or all of them

I took a similar path at Ohio State (insert obligatory Michigan insult here) and Penn State then with the DoD. I’m thrilled to read about not only your successes school and work wise but two (two!) world records.  Very cool.
