I haven’t really seen anyone upset about that. I thought it needed to commit to either being a modern Amblin kids movie or a nostalgia-fest for old dudes because as it was it didn’t really completely satisfy in either direction.

In response to the author’s confusion about Ghost Deb, I like to imagine it as Jennifer Carpenter railing on Michael C. Hall over their breakup, many years ago. ;)

So the film’s setup is really ‘little shit steals priceless doll from destitute couple’ and we’re supposed to root for him? Buzz, your screenplay, woof. 

Imagine being so untethered you spend your own time and energy hacking a youtube channel... just to promote a billionaire. Bleak stuff.
