Man, that Thursday night line up really was the stuff dreams are made of.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, I just find it hard to believe that THAT MANY PEOPLE showed up in blackface and no one knew that was going to happen ahead of time??? Really? They're even all painted the same color. . . you can't TELL ME they didn't share it!
Real question: is this something that happens often? I am not a parent and choose not to judge the choices of parents, but I imagine the risks are so high - as this article states. What are all the options for mothers who choose not to breastfeed or otherwise cannot? This must be a less expensive option?
name sisters 4ever! <3
Same here. Love the uniqueness, never appreciated it fully until probably post high school. I have never really had anyone mispronounce my name, but I'm always shocked at the spellings people come up with. Most common: Marrianne or Marriane. The double R always gets me, where do people come up with that?!
Well, even though we've never met, I'm just going to go ahead and take that as a compliment ;-)
Lots of interesting stuff here. But, I wonder, do we need to call these different selves "false" selves? Rather, like the article said, just different versions of ourselves that are appropriate for different settings. Social media, in fact, is one forum in which these different selves combine. As I've gotten…
My immediate thoughts exactly. A married 33 year old with a 401(k) getting pregnant unexpectedly =/= a 16 year old with no resources getting pregnant.
I'm going to have to agree with you there :) So glad I have my spelling.
I am not seeing the difference either! In the midwest we pronounce all of those the same. . .
I'm 29 too!! I used to work in a grocery store where I had to wear a name tag and the Gilligan's Island references were never ending. . .I'd usually just throw 'em a little shade by saying "I've never seen that show," to make them feel old, hahaha. But I mean, I really haven't seen that show. My name came from my…
Egg?
Yay! Born in 1983 here. (Not sure if you read the other posts but my name came after my dad and mom's grandmothers who were named Mary and Ann). Nice to meet you!
Awww, yay! Thanks!
I love striking up conversations with old ladies I see wearing name tags who have the same name and same spelling as mine, I think it makes their day! I definitely am grateful that I have such a unique name and that my parents took the time to come up with something not only original but with meaning! And thanks for…
I would also like to see the male name version of this. Being born in '83, I can bet that year was full of Adams, Matts, Nicks, and Erics?
So cool, thanks for sharing!
Don't forget the classic "Ann"!
