If you gave Jordan Peele the screenplay for Scream, he’d make a much funnier movie than this.

I’m baffled by the positive reception. Does nobody else think this movie absolutely sucks? The comedy undermines the scares and the stakes, the threat is fully established by the conclusion of the first act, the penultimate reveal is beyond dumb, and the twist completely destroys any possible allegory. It's a mess,

“We’re merely exchanging long protein strings. If you can think of a simpler way, I'd like to hear it."

That’s the one thing I could never stomach about the place, the high housing costs.  Oh, and all the damn vampires.

Anyone thinking that Hereditary was too off the rails can GET THE FUCK OFF MY TRAIN!!!!!!!!!

This was a really good horror film up until the exposition dump in the end and a twist that was obvious to me in the first 10 or so minutes of the film (a combination of opening text about tunnels and a line about PTSD). The exposition didn’t make sense and the twist was unnecessary.

For $80 an hour you too can sponsor a game developer in your own home...

Natasha Lyonne is fucking awesome. But I’m A Cheerleader was such an important movie when I was a gay teen.

Natasha Lyonne and director Jamie Babbit’s best known collaboration is But I’m a Cheerleader, maybe my favorite modern romantic comedy and maybe the best LGBT themed movie, very ahead of its time as a scathing expose of gay conversion therapy.

This reminds me of when I used to get really freaked out watching that “ghost” in the background of “Three Men and a Baby.”

Except there is nothing about Ciri’s lore that says she has to be white. Her physical description in the books has literally nothing to do with the person she is.

She looks really young for Yen but I’m also biased because of the game.

These events are being viewed by a modern day character named Layla Hassan through a DNA-reading device called the Animus

My hope is that such questions will be less unusual in reviews, particularly with Red Dead on the horizon.

First DLC is nothing to write home about. More of the same and a limited map. But the second DLC (Pharaohs) was really good. A lot of content, huge map(s), and some alien looking areas. Neferiti’s Golden Plains is one of the coolest zones I’ve ever seen in a game. That DLC alone is worth it.

Is there any difference plot-wise to playing one character over the other? Guessing you (understandably) didn’t do a full play-thru with both, but anything notable there or just surface level stuff?

“Report to the ship immediately, we’ll bang, OK?”

Like the other installments before, day one buy for me... when it hits 19.99 with all DLC included

YES - really REALLY needed some escapism yesterday, and today ... and for the rest of this presidency and the nuclear winter that follows.

My theory is that there’s a Good Place but no one’s in it because all humans are too flawed. We haven’t met anyone who works in the Good Place except that Janet was designed to be there!
