Yeah and so much of the three-camera sitcom actors performed so broadly, almost like theater. Must have been hard to translate to film.

What's even weirder is most of those people grew up in the 50's, unless their staff was super young. The show was a massive hit so I guess the audience didn't much care. Also they didn't have references at their fingertips (the internet).
