Whoa!! That would be perfect!

Well just know that, even though I don't know you, you have my support.

Your last point is so fucking true. I'm lucky that I've been able to drink moderately - by that I mean I can just have one glass of wine with dinner or go days without drinking and will occasionally do a night at the bar with friends - and I'm in my 40's. It's getting harder and harder to find people who can enjoy it

I'm by far an expert on the matter but I know people in the "biz". I think the environment has become less toxic and parents are looking out for their children more and more, since the stories of the tragic child stars are very known. Also in general parents are more involved with their kids than they used to be, so

Watched that show as well (I've watched probably too much TV over my lifetime)

Interesting. Guess I never thought about it much since they're all in military garb.

Do you mean the hairstyles on MASH or something else?

Yeah and so much of the three-camera sitcom actors performed so broadly, almost like theater. Must have been hard to translate to film.

What's even weirder is most of those people grew up in the 50's, unless their staff was super young. The show was a massive hit so I guess the audience didn't much care. Also they didn't have references at their fingertips (the internet).

Milli-wah-kay, Algonquin for "the good land"

You know, our family were avid watchers of the show but I have no recollection of the shark jumping. Maybe we'd stopped by then? Of course I learned about it later once the term became ubiquitous.

GRIMEY!

Was that the Homer goes to college episode?

Sad news. Watching the clip reminded me how they stopped caring about period authenticity toward the end of HD and just went with early 80's hairstyles.

It's the internet.

Any chance they can get to possibly sue someone for assault or impeding their right to free speech. Seriously, it's how they make their money.

Kind of hard to "learn and take part" when science-based programs and funding continue to dwindle.

Madrid and Barcelona. Plenty of seafood, steaks and chicken so I don't really get it. I spent 10 days in and around Barcelona and the "weirdest" thing I ate was octopus tapas but there were plenty of other things to choose from.

Yeah, I saw another thread where someone's vegetarian friends pretty much ate nothing but pretzels while traveling in Germany.

An ex-local turned me on to Yonah Schimmel's and I try to get a knish there anytime I'm visiting. Also I was fully prepared for it to be overrated but I liked Katz's.
