Breast pumps are considered shocking? Huh.

Especially since people already have an issue with seeing real life breastfeeding, calling it disgusting and such.

Latching is a real problem mothers have but I agree it's not very compelling, at least to me.

I think they had the breastfeeding noises to make it clear that she didn't do something unspeakable to the baby due to postpartum depression. Something about the way they panned up and the look on her face it totally crossed my mind even though I didn't really think they'd go there.

Been a while since I've seen it but I recall the movie portraying the "smart" people in the beginning as short-sighted, uptight and kind of ridiculous. Well-educated, yes, but not inherently better.

I'm guessing it's such an extremely high-stress environment with little to no sleep under the orange one and it takes it's toll unless you're very, very smart and highly competent. It's also hard to lie all the time.
