“fuck duncan hunter so hard*

Apart from everything she is saying (which is all fucking terrible and she should be the first person we go after when we bust out the pitchforks), who the fuck calls it “Adult time”?? That’s what you say to a kid when you and the wife want to sneak off for a quickie or you need to get drunk.

Hey, you be nice to those CEOs!!! They deserve to be payed 271 times what we do. Not just anyone can fuck over all of their employees AND society AND the environment to benefit of a few mega rich shareholders.

I feel like we’ve devolved to a place where this decision was probably partially (maybe entirely) made on whether or not it would “own the libs”.

I love these stories. It probably pisses off trump more than anything when athletes decline to visit. It really is a shame too. He’s turned something as cool/once-in-a-lifetime as visiting the white house after a championship to some dumb PR ploy where he serves the worst fucking food imaginable.

Surprise surprise! I never thought that Robert Mueller was going to be the guy that single-handedly took the president down, but I also didn’t think he would absolve the guy we all know is guilty of at least 50 different things.

Lol, amen! Seriously I’ve had a big year in health expenditures (but thankfully not as bad as a lot of people have it) and when we were debating I said “My wife and I are going to have over $15k in medical expenses this year” and he responded “So what? So do a lot of people.”

I’ve had Medicare for all/Universal medical coverage conversations with a handful of conservative friends and I think the thing that is always lost on them is how screwed up our system is.

Fuck all these tax prep softwares. I’ve been using taxact for a couple years because it was always billed as the freer version of turbotax. This year they ended up forcing me into their mid to upper tier because i sold a few stocks and had about $5 in dividends from some other stocks. Cost me almost $100 to file!!

Yeah unfortunately to some extent those two parties are perfectly fine arguing back and forth and getting small changes every 4 years that get reversed by the other party. I heard a good podcast that compared it to Coke and Pepsi. They are perfectly happy trading market share back and forth as long is its only those

Jesus... Leave it to Drew of all people to make me rethink life as I sit here at my shitty job slowly marching towards the light (darkness?) at the end of the tunnel.

It’s a shame that the Democratic field is so crowded with a bunch of people that probably shouldn’t be running (Swalwell I’m looking at you).

Agreed. I’ll tell anyone that will listen the biggest problem in politics is the money (and it’s both sides (except for maybe Bernie & Warren)). If we can somehow untangle that we could get back to the government actually making decisions that are beneficial to the majority of people and not a handful of crazy rich

Valid point. I just wonder how likely you are to “accidentally” forget to put $2.4M on your taxes. It’s very reasonable for people like us who are self-filing or are small fish but when it comes to someone like Cohen who is dealing with such high dollar amounts I find it hard to believe. I mean he probably has at

+1 Dad Joke. Okayyyy!

“Finally someone with enough courage to say what needs to be said”

So insane...

If only the Citizens United to try and prevent companies and large donors from basically owning the politicians and government.

To some extent corporations have been around for a very long time too. It’s just that up until the last 20-30 years there were some protections in place to keep corporations from fucking everyone over at the sole benefit of the shareholders.

I made the mistake of having the “medical coverage for everyone” conversation at work. I tried to explain that we in the US are getting fucked by the medical companies (who own most politicians). The US gets pretty much the same healthcare as most other rich nations but it costs us 2x as much .
