I grew up in Northern Michigan. That should sum up my feelings on snow tires. In case it doesn't, up north we buy snow tires, it's a fact of life. I know guys who keep a spare set of rims with snows on them shoved under their busted down trailer all summer, I've known people who have snow tires that cost more than

Not just wrong tires, but improper inflation. a few years back, during snowmageddon in the DC Metro area, I forgot to take some air out of my normally over inflated tires (5lbs extra in all 4) and almost couldn't make it up some hills.

Not clean your whole car off.

I agree. I'm from Buffalo, NY. I DD a WRX. I still buy Blizzaks and toss them on smaller steel rims for the Winter because we regularly get 12+ inches of snow overnight. There are tons of asshats around who refuse to buy even new all seasons let alone snow tires. These are the same asshats I find in ditches or going 8

Believe that AWD makes you invincible.

Porsche's short-lived running in the Sprint Cup Series with Hendrick Motorsports. So far the only NASCAR entry to use a kinetic-energy recovery system.

I still love that commercial, maybe because it shows us that Santa is a massive car guy with Sultan of Brunei-like access to amazing cars. We did a cool story on how they prepared the G-class for that commercial, it's #12 on this list.

I forgot, I stepped into the hipster part of the internet today.

Lets hate on anything that does well.

Can I hate the Beetles then?

Its a cheap car for people who need a car.

What is so wrong?

The 4 speed auto sits in the base car which no one outside of the fleet will take. The engines aren't actually that bad.

I don't get it. Are we hating on it because you want something more or are we hating on it because you don't get the position it has in the

Umm... we don't know what you did to keep your car alive because the second part of the story hasn't been written yet.

Wow, do they even know that in some part of Canada, it's not even legal to take the spouse's name ?

At least he, by crossing the street, was able to gain ten yards.

Fake. That Cleveland resident probably didn't even know that was Browns Headquarters.

When something you say garners an almost-unanimously negative reaction (even from those with similar beliefs), do you stop and think, "hmmmm, maybe I should examine my behavior" or do you just double-down and convince yourself that you're acting appropriately and it's everybody else that is out of line?

That's just heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with Michael and his family.

You're forgetting that outside Jalopnik literally nobody gives a shit.
Even inside Jalopnik, there are a sizeable number of people that don't give a shit.

Mostly because it doesn't fucking matter.
People throw around "rear-biased AWD" like it's some sort of powertrain Jesus but maybe 1% of those people have actually

Did you forget, it is standard circle jerk procedure to hate on anything that isn't RWD.

Because that alone determines the success and market value of a brand.

sad that I saw this question too late to suggest Taki, but I'm glad somebody did. When I first stumbled across his twitter feed I thought it was fake, then I did some searching and found that Taki Inoue really is that nuts.

Best resource I had when getting into F1.

One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.
